Hyperactivity

WELCthought-2123970_1920OME to Bitter Sweet Focus. My name is Sarah. I’m an aspiring writer with a passion for reading, writing, learning, and coffee.

What is Bitter Sweet Focus? A haven for those who have dealt with ADHD, anxiety, depression; or for those who want a good read and to learn something new.

When I was 24 years old I hit a wall. From years of suffering from emotional regulation, depression, anxiety, you name it, enough was enough. I was stuck. No matter what antidepressants I was taking, no matter what therapist I worked with, I felt like nothing would work. So I went back to my GP and they recommended seeing a psychiatrist. So I did. I finally spoke to someone who I felt could provide me with some insight, which is exactly what I got.

What insight? I have a hyperactive brain; hyperactivity/or in my case a mild form of ADHD. Of course, my curiosity was exacerbated when I was told you are born with a hyperactive brain.

So what does that mean? Well, it means a lot of things. In a nutshell; focus is distorted, attention is a grapple hook and procrastination, well, it has taken me 7 years to put a blog post together (so that should give a little perspective!).

Why stick around? I’ll share my experiences with you; the highs, the lows, provide tips and tricks on how you can help yourself and a look at the bitter and the sweet of daily life with a hyperactive brain.

Happy reading!
